You can create change with the Great British Spring Clean 2019

22 March to 23 April 2019

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches.

Each year in March Keep Britain Tidy inspires thousands of people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us.

Join the growing army of #LitterHeroes who have had enough of other people’s litter and are willing to do something about it.

Together we can make a difference and clean up the environment on our doorstep.

How we can help with your litter picking events

If you, your parish council, school or local community group would like to organise a voluntary litter picking event in your area, we can support you by providing equipment, black bags and high visibility vests. We can also collect the bags of litter at the end of your event.

Please call us on 01636 650000, if you would like bags and need to arrange a collection.

We recommend the use of gloves and litter-pickers where possible.

#Cleaner #Safer #Greener

We want more businesses, community groups and individuals to take pride in their community and not drop litter.

Whether it’s as simple as picking up a piece of litter on your walk to the local shops, raising awareness of litter prevention or organising a litter pick in your local area, your support helps make the district a cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy.

Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering

If you are a parent manager of a local Duke of Edinburgh team and would like to consider litter picking for your group please get in touch.

Our waste management team will act as the assessor for your volunteer group and we can supply black bags and pick up the collected rubbish.
