Poster for the Friends of Southwell Trail drawing competition for March and AprilCalling all young wildlife artists!

The Friends of Southwell Trail (FOST) have launched their painting and drawing competition for March and April.

The themes for this month’s competition are Hedgehogs and Rainbows on the Trail. You choose!

The FOST volunteers see many birds, animals, trees and flowers on the trail and enjoying watching them change throughout the seasons. They want you to be inspired by nature and let your imagination run wild!

The Southwell Trail stretches from Southwell to Bilsthorpe and is built on the old railway line. Visit the trail and help FOST spread the word about the wildlife that you see.

Everyone who enters will get a certificate and there is a prize for the winners of a fabulous art set.

The competition is sponsored by Newark and Sherwood District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and local artist Sarah Flanagan.

Pick up all the details of the competition from local libraries in Southwell, Farnsfield and Bilsthorpe.
