Green bin collections

  • Present your bin by 6am to ensure it is emptied

  • Ensure that the bin is safely accessible from the edge of your property and does not cause an obstruction

  • Take your bin back in promptly as leaving it out can block pavements making it difficult for wheelchair and pushchair users.

  • If needed we can help you move your bin. Contact us to arrange assistance

  • We will not collect any side waste and the lid on the bin must be closed

  • Help us by marking your bin with your name and address

The following items cannot be placed in the domestic bins:

  • Soil, bricks and concrete
  • Tyres or car parts 
  • Building rubble and stones 
  • Paints, oils or solvents 
  • Fixtures and fittings (bathroom fittings and kitchen units)

Missed bins

If your green bin has been missed please contact us as soon as possible. 

Larger bins

If you live in a household of 6 or more you may be entitled to a larger bin.

The issuing of the larger bin is dependent upon you demonstrating willingness to minimise your family waste and participate in our recycling schemes.

1 to 2 people, 140L bin

3 to 5 people, 240L bin

6 or more people 360L bin

Missing bins

We may make a discretionary charge for replacing missing or damaged bins.
